Growing up, Rachel always had a love for animals, and never had less than two dogs in her home. When her husband adopted a dog from a rescue organization and then went on deployment, she took it upon herself to seek out help and learn how to train her dog when food aggression and reactivity issues started to show. After being let down by several reward-based programs, she found a balanced trainer that changed her life. From there, her passion for rehabilitation and training grew!
During college, Rachel volunteered for a balanced dog training company. During her time there she gained a lot of experience working with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and behavior problems. This experience allowed her to really grow in her ability to train and guide clients through their journey towards building a balanced relationship with their dog.
She has worked professionally as a dog trainer for almost a decade, and while she enjoys rehabilitating challenging cases, she has a real passion for rescue and loves empowering clients to take up a leadership role with their dogs.
